Eligibility for the Mathematics National Scholarship

1) What documents do I need?
Depending on whether you’re a high school student and studying, you may need to present additional documentation. For many programs, the Admission Information Form is necessary.
2) Does Waterloo need ACT or SAT scores?
If you want to go to an engineering school, you don’t need to take the SAT or ACT. However, they are essential if you’re going to go there. There are no minimum scores for the SAT or ACT exams. However, high scores may help you stand out in our more competitive programs.
3) Can I apply for more than a program?
Waterloo has a maximum number of programs that you can apply to, except for Engineering, which has a maximum number of programs that you can apply to. As soon as you’ve applied to Waterloo, you can choose another Engineering program to be considered for. You can do this by filling out your Admission Information Form. Biomedical Engineering and Software Engineering are not an option on the AIF, so you can’t choose them as an alternative. For each Waterloo program you apply to, they will tell you if they have accepted you or not.
4) How do I apply early?
There is nothing like an early admission at Waterloo. They review applications for certain programs from January to May, depending on which one you’ve chosen to go to. It takes at least mid-term grades for all courses before they make admissions decisions. They make most of their admissions decisions in May when they get the mid-term marks from semester high schools.
