Job Description
An individual working as a packaging operator at Sleeman Breweries would probably be in charge of running and maintaining the machinery involved in the packaging of the company’s goods. This can entail activities like putting the machinery in place and making any adjustments, keeping an eye on the packing procedure, and resolving any problems that might come up. The operator would also be in charge of making sure the packaged goods adhere to quality requirements and maintaining precise production records.
The ability to work various shifts, including days, nights, and afternoons, is necessary for shift work. Shifts alternate every two weeks. Including relevant shift premiums ($1.20 for afternoon shift and $1.55 for night shift), the hourly wage is $20.74.
Responsibilities
- Â Participate in all packaging processes
- Work in compliance with company and regulatory regulations
- Report unexpected incidents and accidents and Assist in establishing corrective actions.
- Assist with on-the-job training
- Maintain production paperwork
- Maintain a clean and safe workstation and area
- Adhere to the food safety required as per job tasks and report non-conformities
- Perform other activities as needed
Job Requirements
- Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24-hour operation
- May be required to work weekends
- Mechanical aptitude; strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to troubleshoot
- Ability to meet job requirements for packaging, including initiative, safety, housekeeping, attendance, and productivity..
