Job requirementsÂ
- Installation and carpentry of modular home finishing components, as well as construction and completion of functional modular homes.
- Keep work areas tidy in order to reduce dangers and disturbances.
- Troubleshoot and resolve construction-related difficulties, and address any setbacks as soon as possible.
- Ensure that all building codes and regulations are followed.
- Materials made of wood, wood replacements, lightweight steel, and other materials are measured, cut, shaped, assembled, and joined.
- Participate in safety toolbox meetings and receive project status updates.
Required Qualifications
- Commitment to workplace safety, including knowledge and application of workplace safety measures.
- Proficient in the use and upkeep of associated tools and equipment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and planning abilities; ability to prioritize process.
- Excellent team abilities, including the ability to collaborate with others to identify solutions and implement improvements.
- Previous carpentry expertise in a construction context is advantageous.
- Post-secondary education and/or a carpentry trade certificate from a recognized program are advantages.
- Knowledge of building standards and codes is considered a benefit.
