8. Judge, Manager of a team or Referees

These groups of people or similar professions do not have a work permit to enter the country if they are part of an international sport contest which must be organised by an International sport organisation body and hosted by a Canadian or Canadian organisation. They may be involved in an international cultural event or even an animal contest as long as it is organised by an international body and hosted by a Canadian organisation. In most uncommon situations, referees for professional sporting leagues will be required to possess a work permit and a LMIA proof and in most sporting leagues like NBA, MLB, are exempted from the compulsory use of work permit.

9. Examiners and Evaluators

If you are an examiner or supervisor, providing academic duties in the country, you will be allowed to work in the country  without a work permit for the purpose of performing your academic roles like reviewing students’ exam papers, evaluating research, and university programs.
