Scholarships are available to overseas undergraduate and postgraduate students. Their first year of study at Falmouth University is in September 2022. The British Council and the UK government’s GREAT Britain Campaign are the main sponsors of the GREAT scholarships. They are also collaborating with higher education institutions in the United Kingdom. Academic departments will assign the awarded scholarships based on the applicant’s previous experience. However, they must have described this in their statement. Then, the academic heads of subjects will decide based on their professional judgment. But this is when the number of qualified candidates exceeds the awards available.

Eligibility
The applicant must follow these requirements:
- First, have an undergraduate degree or appropriate job experience and a demonstrated passion and drive to grow in the chosen subject area.
- Be willing to attend a networking event with all UK-based GREAT scholars to share experiences and understand what it’s like to study in the UK.
- Meet the English language requirements.
- Also, be willing to keep in touch with the British Council and Falmouth University and serve as a GREAT Scholarships ambassador.
- Lastly, as a GREAT Scholarships graduate, be available to chat with potential candidates about your experience studying in the UK on occasion.
English Language Requirements
When it comes to applicants whose first language is not English, the University accepts a variety of English language examinations, which may be found on their International Entry Requirements page. When determining your English proficiency, Falmouth University may consider other factors, such as a reference from your employer if you work for an English-speaking company or a recommendation from an English teacher. Suppose your offer of a seat is conditional on your completing the institution’s English language proficiency standards. In that case, you must meet those requirements before your request becomes unconditional, and you can begin your studies at the University.
It also considers tests taken two years ago. It recognizes that the English test has been disrupted due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, which has become a significant difficulty for all students. If you took the test over two years ago, we may, if it is possible, examine proof of continuous use of English at work or elsewhere temporarily to assist those who have been affected.
Additional Criteria
- You must be an Indian or China resident.
- Hold an offer from Falmouth for a one-year master’s program and must have applied to study in the academic year 2022 to 2023.
How to Apply
You can apply to Falmouth University if you are from China or India and have received an offer. To do so, please send a supporting statement (between 300 and 400 words) to [email protected] with your application.
This statement should include your reasons for believing that you should get a GREAT scholarship. Then, you will receive confirmation of receipt of your statement within 72 hours of submitting your statement. The GREAT grants are only available for students who will begin classes on campus in September 2022.
Selection Method
The scholarship committee will evaluate the scholarship candidates and conduct interviews with those shortlisted for the award. After completing two rounds of questions, the students will have an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and creative abilities to assist the institution with furthering its evaluation of prospective themes.
They will schedule an online interview for you, and you will be able to request an alternative date and time if necessary through the application site. A face-to-face interview is available if you are already in the United Kingdom.
Benefits
Falmouth University will award a scholarship to eligible students for £10,000, which can offset their educational expenditures while attending the University.
Scholarship Application Deadline
Keep in mind that to proceed with submitting the applications and statements on or before the deadline, the students must have received an offer from the University. The deadline for submissions will be June 1, 2022.
