Job Description:
oversees all aspects of a small volume plant’s daily operations and maintenance and makes ensuring the facility is running as safely and as effectively as possible. ensures effective workforce utilization and includes every member of the management team in the hiring procedure. Plans, sets, and carries out business goals to achieve all facility operating objectives. makes sure that every day, clients’ expectations are met. supports the “Safety Above All” culture of FedEx Ground.
- The following managerial responsibilities are included, but are not limited to: hiring, firing, coaching, skill development, recognition and awards, performance management, and employee productivity. oversees problems with employee relations, checks that training requirements are being followed, and makes efforts to lower staff turnover.
- Annual performance reviews are given, and daily meetings are held with workers to discuss service levels, performance, and to get operational input.
- Develops and implements policies and programs as necessary; plans, organizes, staffs, directs, and oversees the department’s daily activities.
- Accountable for timely delivery, productivity rates, safety requirements, and facility maintenance. sets a good example for others and upholds workplace best practices.
- Provides assistance with other facility audits within the district and confirms that the facility complies with business controls. It also supervises the creation of action plans to rectify any problems discovered during business control self audits (BCSA).
- Takes part in the creation of business safety plans and programs and is in charge of managing them.
- Encourages a safe work environment by supervising safety committees, providing training, and ensuring that any safety issues are resolved. guarantees adherence to application safety laws.
- Drives and takes part in company marketing and sales initiatives, and goes to market council meetings to collaborate on overall corporate objectives. helps set customer service guidelines for all accounts and distributes these guidelines to all staff.
- Assures that the facility complies with all applicable regulations by using the principles of Quality Driven Management.
Job RequirementsÂ
Two (2) years’ experience required in direct management of employees and their performance OR • Two (2) years of operational or military leadership experience OR • A combination of above listed experience
High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- software expertise, including proficiency with web-based apps and Microsoft Office.
- The ability to convey complex or sensitive information requires both verbal and writing communication abilities.
- Presentation abilities required to lead training sessions and/or present material to teams or individuals.
- The ability to manage several projects, prioritize work effectively, plan resources to fulfill deadlines and goals, and attend to day-to-day functional demands.
- The capacity to foresee issues, recognize them, and utilize solid judgment and fact-based analysis to create workable solutions.
