Job Description
Being a Material Handler, you are going to fulfill an important role in warehouse operations. This position takes responsibility for the careful supervision and processing of supplies from reception to delivery, ensuring operational efficiency and accuracy in inventory control. Your efforts will help to ensure the smooth flow of materials required for important services, which will have a direct impact on the organization daily operations and project success.
- Professionally managing commodities and materials, assuring proper receipt, storage, and distribution.
- You’ll be sorting and prepare salvage materials for disposal or sale, as well as managing surplus item returns.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, yard, and other facilities.
- Complete and collect orders accurately in relation to specified work orders and projects.
- Follow regular cycle counts to ensure that stock levels are optimal.
- You’ll be task with material handling equipment such as forklifts while upholding safety and precision during all activities.
- Assist customers at the warehouse counter.
- Providing prompt and polite assistance.
- Helping to contribute to inventory accuracy by rigorously handling stock issues and returns.

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is necessary.
- A Valid Alberta driver’s licence with a clean past.
- One year of warehousing experience is preferred, and any relating certification is beneficial.
- Capability to earn certificates in electric forklift operating, first aid, TDG, and WHMIS.
- Experienced with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
