Job Description
The grade person/skilled labourer will be working alongside with the construction crew member just to ensure that the  road construction activities follow to vertical and horizontal elevation tolerances. The responsibilities includes monitoring operations, supplies, and assist the foreperson in recognizing construction obstacles. They will help organize and prioritize work, as well as support crew members with physically powerful tasks.
- Utilize and care for a wide range of small machinery and construction tools.
- Comply with the company’s and the crew’s standards for quality workmanship.
- Keep the construction site’s facilities, equipment, and housekeeping clean.
- Maintenance of machinery or tools used in construction.
- Indicate to equipment operators where the equipment should be well placed.
- When needed, verify grades using a tape measure, rotary laser, stick layout, or GPS Rover.
- Exhibit a basic understanding of how basement infrastructure parts are installed.
- Analyze sketches or guidelines to ascertain the necessary work.
- Recognize the meaning of a confined place and the necessary protocols that need to be maintained.
- Compact materials to build pipe and structure level bases.
- Locate utilities by digging holes.
- Identify reference points on building supplies.
- Mix and apply concrete for for constriction.
- Using of construction instruments such as a jackhammer, quick-cut saw, and leaping jack.
Grade Person/Skilled Labourer Jobs Requirements
- Exceptional leadership abilities.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
- At least a calendar year of experience in major civil construction.
- Having prior experience with water main and sewer projects will be deemed advantageous.
- Proficiency in analyzing and understanding building blueprints and specifications.
- Excellent comprehension and implementation of the Occupational Health and Safety Act in the workplace is essential.
- Applicants must be willing to work in nights, weekends, and other flexible hours.
- Prior experience with the use of GPS is desirable.
- Certified G-Class driver’s license.
